Sindhu Boutiques

Sindhu Boutiques is at Shop No 2, right on the Main Road in the Gangaram-Chanda Nagar area of Hyderabad. Since we are right on the main road, it gets very noisy with all the cars and buses going past towards 500050. It’s a busy spot, which is good because people see the shop when they are stuck in traffic. The shop is small, just one of those units along the row. I spend a lot of time standing by the door or working at the back where it’s a bit quieter. Chanda Nagar is always moving, and there is always something happening outside. Inside the shop, we have racks of clothes and a big cutting table that takes up most of the space. It’s a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We don't have a professional decorator or anything, we just put things where they fit. I think that makes it feel more like a real place. We get all sorts of people walking in because of the main road location. Some are just looking and some need things done quickly. We just do the best we can with the time we have. The heat from the road can be a bit much in the afternoons, so we have a small cooler that we keep running. It’s a straightforward shop for straightforward work, no bells or whistles. You can usually find me here from morning until the traffic starts thinning out late at night.
