Santosh Plastics

Santosh Plastics is tucked away at 7-1-139 in the Bandimet area, right on Maruthi Veedhi in Secunderabad. If you know Secunderabad, you know how these streets can be, always something going on. We have been in this building for quite a while, surrounded by all sorts of other shops. Our space is mostly filled with plastic items of all shapes and sizes, from buckets to storage bins and things people need for their houses. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves and even on the floor. Moving stuff around is a daily exercise for us. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If someone asks for a specific size of container, we usually have to go digging through the stacks in the back. The dust from the street comes in, so we are always dusting off the lids and the surfaces. Maruthi Veedhi is a busy place, and we spend a lot of our time just talking to the other shopkeepers nearby or helping someone load a big bag of items onto their scooter. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down and the street lights come on. It’s just a regular local business trying to keep things moving in Bandimet.
