We have the shop on the ground floor at H-No 28-87 in Neredmet. It’s a convenient spot in the R. K Puram area of Malkajgiri. Being on the ground floor is good because we don't have to carry stuff up the stairs. Secunderabad is always busy so there is a lot of traffic outside our door. We sell various items that people need for their homes. It’s a mix of things really. Whatever we think will sell, we put it on the shelves. Sometimes the shelves look a bit messy but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time checking the stock and talking to the delivery guys. They usually have some gossip from the other parts of Telangana. My wife helps me out in the afternoons when the kids are at school. We have a small fan that doesn't do much in the heat but it’s better than nothing. Customers come in and sometimes they just want to chat for twenty minutes before they buy one small thing. We don't mind. It makes the day go faster. We keep the accounts in a red ledger book under the counter. It’s a basic business. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here in the colony and they stop by when they are passing. It is a family thing and we just try to keep things moving.
