Sana Rubber Moulding Works

If you go down into the basement of the Kabra Complex on M. G. Road, you’ll find us. Sana Rubber Moulding Works is right there underground, near Hotel Maya. It’s a bit of a hidden spot in Ranigunj but we’ve been here for a while. The shop is full of rubber molds and heavy presses. Because we are underground, it stays a bit cooler, but the machines still put out a lot of heat. We spend our days making rubber parts for different machines and tools. It’s dirty work. Your hands are always black from the rubber by the end of the day. We don't have much light down here, just the shop lights. It’s a small space so we have to be careful where we put things. There are stacks of finished parts waiting to be picked up. We don't really do any marketing. Most of our customers come because someone told them about us. We just focus on getting the shapes right. If a mold isn't perfect, the part won't work. So we spend a lot of time checking the details. It’s just a couple of us working the machines. We’ve got a routine down now. We show up, turn on the heaters, and start the day. It’s a steady kind of life here in the complex. We just do the work as it comes.
