Our shop is at 5-5-10/A in Ranigunj, and if you are looking for us, we are right near the local lorry adda. It is a very industrial part of town, so there is always a lot of dust and the smell of diesel in the air. We deal with pumps all day long. Some are small and some are quite heavy, so there is a lot of lifting and moving boxes around. The floor is concrete and usually has a few scuff marks from the equipment. We don't have an air conditioner, just a big ceiling fan that tries its best against the heat. Being near the truck stand means there is always a lot of activity outside with drivers and loaders moving about. We have been here for years and the locals know where to find us. We aren't trying to be some big fancy agency with a shiny showroom. We just have our stock on the shelves and a desk where we handle the bills. Most of the people who come in are workers or contractors who know exactly what they need. We talk shop, sort out the orders, and get things loaded up. It is honest work and it keeps us on our feet. The days are long and often quite tiring, but we like the routine of the Ranigunj market and the people we see every day.
