You can find Rachamallu Forgings (P) Ltd. over at Plot No. 86 in the Cie Expansion area of Gandhi Nagar. Balanagar is a pretty industrial spot, so we fit right in with the rest of the shops around here. Forging is heavy work. We deal with a lot of heat and big hammers. The sound of the shop is something you get used to after a few days, but it can be loud for anyone just visiting. We spend most of our time around the furnaces and the presses. It's a physical job and everyone here knows the value of a hard day's work. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but the core of what we do stays the same. We take pieces of metal and shape them into what they need to be. It takes a lot of patience and a bit of muscle. Sometimes a piece doesn't come out right and we have to start over, but that is just how it goes with forging. We don't have a big front desk or a receptionist. Usually, if you come by, you’ll have to find one of us on the floor. We are mostly focused on the production line and making sure the equipment is maintained. It's dusty and loud, but it is our workspace. We take pride in just getting the parts done and keeping the hammers moving throughout the week. It is just how we do things.
