A 1 Tyres Retreading

Down in Bahadurpally Village, specifically at Plot No 56, you’ll find our workshop for A 1 Tyres Retreading. It’s an industrial sort of area near Qutubullapur, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the nearby units. We spend our days surrounded by old tires that need a new lease on life. The smell of hot rubber is pretty much stuck in our clothes by the time we go home. It’s a big shed-like space with machines for buffing and curing the rubber. It’s not a clean environment, but it’s where the work gets done properly. We take in tires from trucks and tractors that have seen a lot of miles. Most of the guys working here have been doing this for years and can tell a good casing just by looking at it. We don't have a front desk or any air conditioning, just some fans that move the warm air around. The Sy No 53 54 location is easy for the big lorries to turn into, which is important for us. Sometimes we have a backlog of tires sitting out front waiting for their turn. We just work through the pile one by one. It’s a physical job that keeps everyone tired but it feels good to see a worn-out tire look usable again. We keep to ourselves mostly and focus on getting the rubber right. The coffee machine is usually broken so we go out for tea.
