Priyanka Art Theatre

We are located behind Praga Tool in Gandhi Nagar. The address is H No 6-6-414/7. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main road. The Shakthi Ganapati Temple is right opposite us, so we hear the bells and prayers every single day. This place is mostly where we store our props and old costumes. We have things from plays we did ten years ago sitting in cardboard boxes. It’s not a big corporate theater setup. We are just a bunch of people who like putting on shows for the community. Most of the time we are busy rehearsing or fixing a broken wooden frame for a stage set. The paint smells a bit strong in the back room sometimes when we are making backdrops. We use simple tools and whatever materials we can find cheap. It’s a bit cramped inside with all the stuff we’ve collected. Gandhi Nagar is a nice area but finding our specific house number can be tricky for newcomers. We usually tell them to look for the temple first. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps and talk about new scripts. It’s not always busy, but when a production is coming up, we stay late into the night. We don't really have a big staff, just a few dedicated folks. The lighting equipment is old but it still works if you know how to handle it correctly. We’ve been here for a long time now. We just like making things happen on stage.
