Sri Kumara Swamy Saw Mill

Sri Kumara Swamy Saw Mill is located at Plot No 151 in Gangaputra Colony. We are right opposite the Indian Garden Function Hall in Old Alwal. You can’t miss us because you can usually hear the saws from the street. The smell of fresh sawdust is always in the air here. We’ve been cutting wood at this spot for a long time. We have big logs sitting in the yard waiting to be sliced into planks. It’s a dusty job, and we all end up covered in wood shavings by the end of the shift. The machinery is old but it works well if you know how to handle it. We don’t have an office with a computer or anything like that. We mostly just use a notepad and a pencil to keep track of things. People from around Old Alwal come to us when they need wood for a project or some repair work. We just tell them what we have and cut it to the size they want. It’s a very manual process. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just focus on the wood and the blades. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work outside, but we manage. We’re just a local saw mill doing our thing every day. It’s what we know how to do, and it keeps us busy. We just keep the saws sharpened and the logs moving.
