Om Interior

You can find us over at Panchvati Apartment in Padmarao Nagar, specifically in Block A, room 202. We are pretty close to the Skangiri Temple, which is the easiest landmark to give people when they are trying to find the building. At Om Interior, the office is basically a collection of wood samples, fabric swatches, and a lot of sketches pinned to the walls. It’s not a big showroom with fancy lighting; it’s more of a workspace where we sit down with a pencil and a ruler to figure out how to make a room look decent. There is usually sawdust on the floor if we’ve been working on a prototype, and the smell of glue and varnish is pretty common around here. We spend a lot of time on the phone with carpenters and suppliers, trying to track down the right materials. It’s a lot of back-and-forth and sometimes things don’t go exactly as planned, but we just figure it out as we go. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny website. Most of our work comes from people in the neighborhood who have seen what we did for their friends. We just sit at the drawing board, drink some tea, and try to come up with practical layouts that actually work for regular homes. It is a small operation, just a few of us trying to do a good job in a quiet apartment.
