Deco Tiles

Our shop, Deco Tiles, is inside the Kamath Hotel Building right near the Clock Tower on S.D Road. It’s a well-known spot because of the tower, so it’s easy to tell people where we are. The space is filled with stacks of tiles in all sorts of colors and sizes. It can be a bit heavy moving things around, so we spend a lot of our time lifting and carrying. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the stone. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Instead, we just show people the actual tiles we have in stock. Being in the Kamath Hotel Building means there are always people coming and going. We’ve been here on S.D Road for quite some time. We don't spend money on big ads or marketing. People usually find us because they’re walking past or someone told them about us. It’s a small operation. Most days it’s just two or three of us working. We have a small desk in the corner where we keep the receipts and the phone. Sometimes the noise from S.D Road makes it hard to hear, but we’re used to it. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized. It’s a simple business with no frills. We like being near the Clock Tower and being part of this busy area. We keep a broom handy because the dust never really stops settling.
