The shop is tucked into Shop No 6 over at Nvs Resident, right there on the MMTS Main Road. If you know where the Chandra Nagar railway station is, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without thinking much of it. It’s a handy spot because people can just hop off the train and get what they need. We deal with all sorts of things here, and since it’s a multispeciality place, there is always someone different coming in. The floor gets a bit dusty because of all the construction and the traffic on the main road, so we spend a lot of time sweeping. It’s not a quiet place, you can hear the trains rumbling by every so often, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our staff is mostly local people who live within walking distance. We don't have a big corporate office or anything, just the front desk and the rooms in the back. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, and we keep meaning to fix it, but there’s always something else to do first. We keep a stack of old magazines in the corner for people waiting, though most folks just look at their phones now. It’s just a practical setup for the neighborhood. We try to be helpful and get people on their way so they don't miss their next train home. It gets hot in the afternoons, but the fans keep things manageable for everyone.
