Mahalakshmi Creative Arts

Our little office for Mahalakshmi Creative Arts is up on the 4th floor of Tirumala Enclave. We are at units 301 and 302, which sounds like we have a lot of space but it’s actually mostly filled with frames, paint, and half-finished projects. Being in Mithra Hills on Nizampet Road means we see a lot of traffic down below. The climb up to the 4th floor is good exercise since the lift sometimes has a mind of its own. It’s just a few of us here who like making things. We don't have a big sales pitch. Most people find us because they live nearby or saw our name on the building directory. The sun hits the windows pretty hard in the afternoon, making the whole studio quite warm, but the light is good for the art. We spend hours arguing over colors or where a specific piece should go. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. There’s always sawdust or bits of scrap material on the floor. We try to keep it organized but when you’re busy with creative work, cleaning usually comes last. We don’t do corporate presentations. If you come by, we’ll probably just show you what’s on the workbench. It’s a quiet life up here away from the noise of the main road. We just focus on the pieces we're making and try to get them finished on time.
