Vyasarpadi is where we are based, specifically at 144, Dr Ambedkar College Road. Working with coal and coke isn't a clean job, and we don't pretend it is. Madras Coal & Coke Suppliers has been at this location for a while. The yard is usually covered in black dust, and our clothes end up the same way by the end of the shift. It’s hard physical work, moving loads and managing the stock. Dr Ambedkar College Road is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise from the street. We have a small desk inside where we keep the logs and take the orders. It’s not a place for fancy suits. We deal with people who need fuel, and we get it to them. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult; rain turns the dust into a mess, and the heat makes the yard feel like an oven. We just deal with it as it comes. There’s a routine to the day, starting early before the sun gets too high. We check the supplies, talk to the drivers, and make sure the gates are clear. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. People in the area know where we are if they need us. Vyasarpadi has its own rhythm, and we’ve become a part of it over the years. Just a local supplier doing what we’ve always done.
