Kalyani Sarees

Kalyani Sarees is located at Door No.4-6-134/3 in Pan Bazaar, which is over in the Secunderabad side of town. 500003 is the pincode, though most people just say they’re going to the bazaar. It’s a very crowded area, especially on the weekends. Our shop isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack the sarees. There’s barely enough room for three people to stand at the counter at the same time. We’ve got a small fan tucked in the corner that makes a clicking noise, but it keeps the air moving. Pan Bazaar has its own rhythm, and we’ve been a part of it for some time. We don’t have any fancy displays or mannequins in the window. We just put out a few things so people know what we have. The floor is made of old stone, and it stays cool even when it’s hot outside. Usually, one of us is drinking water or eating tiffin in the back while the other watches the door. We don't use a computer for much; we just write things down as we go. It’s a noisy spot with all the Rickshaws passing by, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just do our work and go home when the sun goes down. It’s a plain shop for plain people, and we are happy staying right here.
