Deepak Die Castings

Plot No 117 in Ida Gandhinagar is where our workshop is located. It is a busy industrial area, so there is always the sound of machines and trucks passing by outside. Deepak Die Castings is not a large operation, but we have enough space for the furnaces and the molds we use every day. The floor is made of thick concrete and has plenty of marks and stains from years of heavy work. It gets very hot inside, especially during the summer months when the metal is being poured. We mostly wear old clothes and heavy boots because everything gets dirty within the first hour of the shift. We have been in the Ida Gandhinagar area for a long time, so we are used to the rhythm of the place. We do not have a big sign or anything fancy on the walls. People usually find us by the gate number or just by asking around the neighboring plots. Our daily life is mostly about managing the heat and making sure the machines are behaving themselves. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to sit outside and wait for it to come back. We keep a few old plastic chairs near the entrance for breaks. It is simple, hard work, and we do not try to make it sound like anything else. We just do our bit and go home. There is always something that needs fixing or moving, so we stay pretty busy from morning until evening.
