We spend our days over at Plot No. 87 in Panduranga Nagar. It’s right in the Erragadda part of Hyderabad, not too far from the post office. The building is pretty standard for a place that handles a lot of electronic data. Inside, it’s a lot of rows of computers and people focusing on their screens. It can get a bit repetitive, but there’s always something to keep us busy. We have folks from all over the city coming in for work, so the parking lot is usually packed with bikes. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy art on the walls or anything like that. We focus more on getting the data entered and making sure the errors are kept low. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh during the tea breaks, which helps when the workload is heavy. The air conditioning is always running because of all the machines, so it stays cool even when the Hyderabad sun is beating down outside. You get used to the rhythm of the place after a while. Most of us just want to do our bit and go home to our families. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town. We’ve been at this address for quite a bit, and we’re just another part of the neighborhood now, even if we’re mostly hidden behind our monitors all day.
