You’ll find us at Shop No B5 in the New Bowenpally Market Yard. If you’ve ever been to the market, you know how loud and busy it gets. We are right in the thick of it. Our work day starts when most people are still asleep because that’s when the fresh loads come in from the farms. We spend hours unloading crates and sorting through everything to make sure it’s good to sell. The market yard is full of energy, with people shouting prices and trucks backing in and out. Our shop is just a basic stall, really, but it’s where everything happens. We have a lot of regular buyers who come to us every morning. We don’t have time for fancy talk; we just weigh the produce, settle the price, and move on to the next person. It’s dusty and sometimes a bit messy, but that’s a vegetable market for you. We deal with whatever is in season, so the look of the shop changes every few months. Some days it’s all greens, other days it’s sacks of potatoes or onions. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and we know how the market flows. It’s a tough job on the feet and the back, but seeing the yard empty out at the end of a busy morning feels good. We just keep things simple and try to be fair with everyone.
