We are tucked away in Prashantht Nagar, right beside the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple. You can usually find us by the smell of oil and lubricants that hangs around our gate. It’s a pretty quiet area otherwise, except when there’s a festival at the temple and the streets get packed. We handle all sorts of lubes and industrial oils that keep engines and factory machines from seizing up. The warehouse is stacked high with drums and pails, and sometimes it's a bit of a puzzle to find the specific grade someone asked for. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to mechanics or factory managers who need something in a hurry. It’s not a glamorous job, and our clothes usually end up with a few dark spots by the end of the shift. We have a small office space where the fan clicks all day, and that’s where we handle the billing and the logs. Sometimes the delivery van breaks down, which is ironic for a lube company, but we laugh about it and get it fixed. It’s just us trying to make sure the local businesses have what they need to stay running. We don’t have a fancy lobby, just a lot of stock and a few people who know their way around an oil drum. Most days we stay until the temple bells start for the evening prayer.
