Andhra Spares Company

Our shop is up on the first floor of the Sri Srinivasa Commercial Complex in Ranigunj. The door number is 5-5-80. Being on the first floor means people have to walk up the stairs, but we’ve been here so long that most folks don't mind. We deal in all sorts of spares. Ranigunj is a hub for this kind of thing, so we fit right in with the other businesses around here. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have boxes stacked everywhere. When you’re dealing with spare parts, you need to keep a lot of different things on hand because you never know what someone is going to ask for. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs or checking the shelves for a specific part number. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s important for the people whose machines are broken down. The complex gets quite busy, and the parking outside is always a mess. That’s just Ranigunj for you. We don’t do much in the way of decorating the place; it’s strictly for business. We have a desk, some chairs for customers to wait, and rows of shelves. Most of our customers are mechanics or people who know exactly what they need. We just find the part, take the payment, and that’s that. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and we’ve been doing it this way for years. We usually take a small break for tea in the afternoon when the shop gets a little quiet.
