Sri Matha Traders

Old Alwal is a busy area, and being right across from the Ambedkarnagar bus stop means we see thousands of people every week. Sri Matha Traders is located in Vajra Enclave, which is a good spot because everyone knows the landmark. We deal with a lot of different goods, and the shop is usually filled with bags or crates depending on what we have in stock that week. The sound of buses pulling in and out is like a clock for us. When the big crowd arrives, we know it is about five in the evening. Our space isn't huge, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so people can actually walk through the door. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work. I spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking the prices of things. We do not have any corporate uniforms or fancy protocols. We just talk to people like they are our friends, which they usually are since most of our customers live right here in Alwal. The building is a bit older now and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it is a busy, happy place to spend the day. We just keep our heads down and keep trading, hoping the traffic isn't too bad for the delivery trucks coming in later.
