Nirmala Yoga Center

Nirmala Yoga Center is located in Alwal, very close to the 2 Sree Bakery. If you come by in the morning, you can often smell the fresh bread and biscuits from the bakery while people are getting ready for their session. It’s a quiet place, or at least we try to keep it that way. We don't have fancy gym equipment or flashing lights. It’s just a clean floor where we lay out the mats. Most of the people who come here are from the nearby houses. We know many of them by name. It’s not a big commercial chain. It’s more of a local spot where people come to stretch and breathe a bit better. We have a few fans on the ceiling and some simple decorations on the walls. It feels like someone’s home more than a business. We started this because we liked yoga ourselves and wanted a place nearby to do it. The schedules are taped to the door. Sometimes we run a bit late if a conversation after class goes on too long. It’s a relaxed environment. We don't promise anyone they’ll become a different person overnight. It’s just about showing up and doing the poses. After the morning classes, we usually lock up and go about our day, then come back for the evening groups. It’s a nice way to be part of the Alwal community.
