Chitrakut Stone Industries

Chitrakut Stone Industries is located at Survey No 1962 on Sudamada Road. It’s a bit out of the way, which is fine because the work we do with stone can get pretty loud and messy. We’ve got a big yard where we keep the raw materials and the finished products. The road out here isn't always the smoothest, especially after a heavy rain, but we are used to it. We spend most of our hours outdoors or in the main shed where the cutting happens. There is always a layer of stone dust on everything, including the old tea cups in our little break area. We are just a local group of workers trying to make a living. There aren't any big speeches or mission statements posted on the walls here. We just look at what needs to be cut and we get to it. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we have to spend half the morning fixing a belt or greasing the gears. That's just part of the routine. People who need stone for their projects usually find their way to us on Sudamada Road sooner or later. We keep things honest and don't try to be something we aren't. It’s a tough job but we’ve been doing it long enough that it feels natural now. We just handle the stone and move on to the next pile.
