Operating out of Sawai Madhopur is a bit different than being in a big city. Our company, Usmania Builders And Developers (Opc) Private Limited, is located care of Kamal Kishore in Barawara. It’s a small area where everyone knows each other, so we don’t need a huge sign out front to tell people where we are. Being an OPC means it’s a small operation, and we like it that way. We spend our mornings checking on construction sites before the Rajasthan sun gets too hot to handle. The office is just a simple room with some tables and a lot of folders. We don't have any fancy posters or corporate mission statements on the walls. We just focus on the building projects we have in front of us. Sometimes getting materials out here to Barawara can be a bit of a challenge, but we’ve been doing this long enough to figure out the logistics. We don’t use a lot of big words or try to sound more important than we are. If you need something developed or built, you just come and have a chat with us. We’ve been part of this district for a long time and we’ve seen it grow slowly. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We aren't looking to expand into some giant empire; we just want to do right by the local folks. That’s pretty much how we spend our days.
