We spend most of our days over here at Plot No. 8 in the Gidc Estate. It gets pretty loud sometimes because of the machines running, but that is just how it is when you are working with elastomers. My desk is usually covered in some kind of dust or paperwork that needs filing. We have been in this spot for a while now. The morning tea guy comes around ten and that is when we usually take a break from the production line. Afc Elastomers Technology Pvt. Ltd. isn't a fancy office with big glass walls. It is a practical place where we get the work done. The machines for the rubber parts take up most of the floor space. Sometimes the heat in the estate is a bit much, especially in the summer months, but we have some fans going. We keep a stash of extra tools in the back corner near the old generator. Most of the staff has been here for years so we all know how the equipment behaves on a rainy day. You can smell the processed rubber as soon as you walk through the gate. It is a smell you get used to after a week or so. I usually have to move my scooter because the delivery trucks need space to turn around in the driveway. It is just a regular workplace doing what we know how to do. No one wears suits here unless there is a very specific reason.
