Fag Bearings India Ltd. is located out at Plot No.- 1 in Alindra. This is part of the Gidc Phase-III industrial area in Savli. It is a large site because we need the room for all the machinery and storage. Being in an industrial zone means it is a bit of a drive to get here, and there is not much around except other factories and open land. The sun gets really hot on the metal roofs during the summer months. Inside, the sound of the machines is pretty much constant, so you have to speak up to be heard. We have a lot of people coming in for different shifts at all hours of the day and night. The floor is marked with yellow lines to show where to walk, and everyone wears their safety gear. It is a very structured environment because that is how you have to run a place like this. We have a canteen where everyone gathers during breaks to eat and talk. The office part is a bit quieter but still very busy with paperwork and logistics. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the parts before they leave the gate. It is a massive operation but it feels like a small community once you have been working here for a while. We also deal with the Shavali side of the industrial area. Most days are long but we just keep going.
