Tulsi Dental Clinic

Tulsi Dental Clinic is located near the bus stand in Shahada. It’s a convenient spot because people coming in from the surrounding villages can just hop off the bus and walk right over to us. You can hear the conductors shouting and the engines idling from the window, which gives the place a certain kind of energy. Working in a dental office means there’s a lot of cleaning and sterilizing going on throughout the day. We have the dental chair and all the tools laid out ready for use. It’s not a large place, but we make it work with what we have. Most of the time, we’re just dealing with routine checkups or people coming in with a toothache that they’ve ignored for too long. We don’t have a fancy website or a big logo; it’s just the name on the door. The floor is usually a bit dusty because of all the foot traffic from the bus stand area, but we sweep it when we can. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how things are here in Shahada. We know the local shopkeepers and they know us. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, looking at teeth and helping people feel a bit better. By the end of the day, my back usually aches a little from leaning over, but we just close up and do it again tomorrow. It is a simple life and we are happy to be part of the community here.
