Akshay Udyog

Akshay Udyog is located in a small place called Nhaveli Rewatewadi. It’s under the P.O. Aros in Sindhudurg. It is very quiet out here compared to the cities. We are surrounded by a lot of greenery and trees. Our unit is basically a small workshop. We don't have many employees, just a few local people from the village. The work we do is pretty simple but it takes time. We don't have big automated machines. It's a lot of hands-on stuff. In the monsoon, the rain hits the roof so loud we can't even hear each other talk. We just wait it out. Life in Sindhudurg moves a bit slower. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot. Our address is a bit hard to find for outsiders because the roads are narrow and winding. There are no big landmarks nearby, just the Rewatewadi area. We don't have a marketing team or a fancy logo. Most of our work comes from word of mouth around Aros and Nhaveli. We just focus on finishing what we started. Sometimes we take a break to sit outside and have some tea. It’s a family-style environment. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to run a decent small business in our hometown.
