Our company, Automotive Stampings & Assemblies Ltd, is located at Survey No-173 in Village Khakharia. It’s part of the Savali Taluka, so it’s a bit out of the way compared to the city centers. Being out in Khakharia means we have a bit more space, but it also means dealing with the rural roads and the local weather. We spend our time working with metal, doing stampings and putting things together. It’s heavy work and the machines are quite loud. You can hear the rhythmic thumping of the presses from the gate. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s a factory through and through. The floor is concrete, the walls are functional, and the focus is always on the production line. Most of the people here are from the surrounding villages. We’ve built a bit of a community over the years. We don't have a lot of meetings or fancy presentations. Usually, if something needs to be said, we just say it on the floor. It’s hot in the summer and the monsoon makes the ground outside quite muddy, but the work doesn't stop. We’ve got a job to do and we just get on with it. It’s a practical life out here in Savali. No frills, just steady effort and making sure the parts are ready on time. We just keep our heads down and stay busy through the week.
