Down on Old Maihar Road in Ward Number 05, you’ll find Rahul Metal Industries. We’re based in Unchehra, and it’s a pretty quiet place compared to the big cities. We work with metal all day long. There’s a lot of heat and noise from the machines. It’s the kind of work that leaves your hands dirty at the end of the shift. We make various metal items and parts. The workshop isn’t anything fancy; it’s just a big space with the equipment we need. We’ve been here in Unchehra for a good while. Most of the people working here are from around the area. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just focus on the metal and making sure the dimensions are right. Sometimes we have to redo a piece because it wasn’t quite perfect, but that’s part of the process. The road outside can be a bit dusty, and we see the same people passing by every day. It’s a steady kind of life. We open up early and stay until the work for the day is finished. If you need something made of metal, this is where we do it. It’s just hard work and heavy materials in a small town setting. We have a small shed for our supplies and we just take things one order at a time without any fuss.
