Out here in Village Mankahari, life moves at a bit of a different pace compared to the city, but it’s still plenty busy. We are situated right near NH-75, so we get a lot of the highway traffic passing by. You can hear the big trucks rumbling along at all hours. It’s a dusty spot, which is pretty much expected when you’re dealing with cement and being so close to a major road. Our site is simple and practical. We spend most of our time out in the yard or in the small office area. There’s always a truck being loaded or unloaded, and the sound of the engines is like background music to us now. The weather plays a big part in how our day goes. When it rains, things get a bit messy with the mud, and when it’s dry, the dust is everywhere. We just get on with it though. The locals from Mankahari and the nearby villages know where we are. We don't have any flashy signs or anything like that. It's a straightforward operation. We keep the inventory moving and try to stay on top of the orders that come in. Most of us have been working in this area for a long time, so we know the local routes well. It’s hard work, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing the stacks of bags moving out to building sites around the region.
