You can find Pankaj Kirana Store in Shiv Colony, right on Satna Road. We are positioned very close to the government school here in Satna. Because of that, we see many parents and children throughout the day. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a room filled with sacks of flour, rice, and various lentils. I spend my time weighing out items and putting them into smaller bags for customers. It’s a lot of manual work and my hands are usually covered in flour by the end of the day. The shelves are wooden and a bit worn down from years of use. We don't have a big staff, so I do most of the work myself. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow street, and the neighbors complain, so we have to hurry. I like the familiar feel of the colony. I’ve known some of these families for generations. When it’s quiet, I sit on a stool near the door and watch the school kids play. We don't have a fancy billing system; I just use a calculator and a pad.
