We are set up right near Gandhi Chowk, just a short walk from the Singhal Trading Company. It’s a busy spot with a lot of people walking by every day. We mostly have clothes and different types of fabrics piled up on the shelves. It’s a small shop, so things can get a bit crowded when we get a new delivery. We try to keep things folded, but by the end of a busy afternoon, the counters are usually a bit of a mess. My family has been around this area for years. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the block. We usually open up early in the morning before the sun gets too high. There’s a tea stall nearby where we get our morning chai. Most of our customers are locals who live within walking distance. They come in to see what’s new or just to chat for a bit. We don’t do any big advertising. People just see the sign when they are heading to the market. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and moving stock around. Sometimes the lights flicker when it rains hard, but that’s just part of being in this old building. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If you want to see what we have, you just have to stop by Gandhi Chowk and look for us.
