Rbn Spices

Our place is out in Birsinghpur, which is part of the Satna district. Rbn Spices is basically a small operation where we handle different kinds of spices every day. It’s usually pretty loud in here because of the machines, and the smell of the spices is always in the air, sticking to our clothes. Some days it’s turmeric, other days it might be something else entirely. We get the raw materials brought in and then we spend the day processing them. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. The weather in Satna can get pretty hot, which makes the work a bit harder in the summer months, but we just get on with it. We’ve been in this spot for a good bit of time now, and most of the people working here live close by. It’s a local thing. We don’t spend much time worrying about how things look, we just focus on the bags and making sure they’re filled properly before they go out. Sometimes the trucks are late getting here because of the roads, but that’s just life in this area. We take our breaks when we can and try to keep the place running smooth. It’s a simple business, really. Just spices and a lot of hard work every day of the week. We keep a log of everything that comes in and out, but it is mostly manual work.
