Ashish Electronics

We’ve been here at Station Road for quite a while now. If you know the area, you probably know where Green Talkies used to be, or you’ve walked past Hotel Khajuraho enough times to notice our little spot tucked behind it. Ashish Electronics isn't a fancy showroom with bright lights and suits. It’s mostly just us surrounded by spare parts and boxes. People come in when their stuff stops working or they need a specific wire they can't find elsewhere. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cluttered, especially when we have a lot of repairs stacked up on the benches. My hands are usually a bit dirty from grease or solder, but that's just how the work is. It’s a busy spot because of the station nearby. You get all sorts of people walking in, some just looking for a battery and others who have a whole television they need fixed. We try to keep things simple here. There’s no big talk or complicated sales pitches. We just see what the problem is and tell you if it can be done. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we keep the fan going and keep at it. Most of the regulars know us by name, and we know them too. It’s a decent living and we like being part of the neighborhood here. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a circuit board. It’s honest work.
