Arul Murugan Flour Mill

Out here in Uthukuli, things move at a different pace. Our mill is located at 9, Vellathukottai Post. It’s a quiet area compared to the big cities, but Arul Murugan Flour Mill stays busy enough. We mostly serve the local farmers and families who live around this part of the district. We’ve got the old machines running most of the day. They make a rhythmic sound that you get used to after a while. Sometimes a belt breaks or a motor needs oiling, so we spend time keeping everything in working order. It’s just how it is with a local mill. We don't have many employees, just a few of us who know how to handle the grain. People bring their bags in, and we process them while they wait or they come back later. The air always smells like ground grain and earth. It’s a good smell. We don’t do much advertising because everyone around here knows where Vellathukottai Post is. If you're looking for us, just ask someone in the village. We’re not trying to be the biggest mill in the world. We just want to do right by the people who rely on us for their flour. It’s a simple business. We keep the doors open and the machines turning as long as there is work to be done. That is basically our whole story in a few words.
