Vasant Food Products

Vasant Food Products is out here in the MIDC area of Wai, specifically at plot B-163. It is an industrial zone, so it is not exactly the most scenic part of town, but it works for what we need to do. We spend our days processing different food items, which involves a lot of noise from the machines and making sure the packaging is lined up right. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing a belt or cleaning out a jam, which can be frustrating when we have a lot to get through. The staff here mostly comes from the nearby villages. We usually take our lunch breaks together under the shade when it is not raining too hard. Wai gets quite a bit of rain, and the roof on our building sometimes makes a racket when the downpour hits the metal sheets. We try to keep the floors clean, but with people coming and going from the yard, there is always a bit of mud or dust near the entrance. We are not trying to be some massive corporation; we just focus on getting the crates filled and the trucks loaded on time. It is honest work that keeps us busy from early morning until the sun starts to go down behind the hills. Sometimes we run out of tape or the labels get stuck, but we manage to sort it out and keep moving. There is always something to clean or move around.
