Umed Mahila Vikas Nidhi Limited

We have our small office for Umed Mahila Vikas Nidhi Limited right at 605 Jogubai Road in Satara. It is a familiar spot for many of the women and families who live nearby. We’ve been at this location for a bit, and it’s become a regular part of our daily routine. The office isn't very large, but it has everything we need to keep things running smoothly. We spend our days handling the various tasks that come with running a Nidhi, mostly focusing on the paperwork and talking to people who walk in off Jogubai Road. Satara is a good place to be, and being on this road makes it easy for folks to stop in while they are out doing their errands. We don't go in for big advertisements or flashy signs. Most people hear about us from their neighbors or friends. Inside, it’s just a few desks and some chairs where we can sit and talk. We keep a pot of tea going most mornings. The work can be repetitive, looking at numbers and filling out forms, but it’s what we do. We like the fact that we are right here in the community where people can reach us without having to travel far. It’s a simple operation, run by local people who just want to do a decent day’s work and help out where they can. Sometimes the doorbell sticks, but we usually hear people coming in.
