About Tirthkshetra Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Satara
We are based in Shinganapur, which is part of the Man Taluka in Satara. The foundation runs out of Danyanashvar Yeshwant Badve’s place. It’s a quiet area, away from the big city noise and the fast life. Living and working here means we know almost everyone in the village. It’s a different way of doing things compared to the city. We don't have a separate office building; it’s more of a home-based setup. This makes things feel more personal, I think. People just walk up to the door when they have a question or need some help with something. We deal with a lot of local issues, mostly things that come up in a rural setting like this. The hills around Satara are beautiful, especially when the rains come and everything turns green. But the work stays the same regardless of the season. We spend a lot of time on paperwork and talking to the local authorities. It’s not fast-paced, and we don't try to make it so. We take things as they come. There’s a lot of history in this region, and we feel connected to that. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just looking after our own corner of it. Sometimes we have to travel to the main town for supplies or meetings, but we’re always glad to get back to Shinganapur. It’s home and it’s where we belong. It’s just how it is for us here.
