Subhadra Social Foundation

Subhadra Social Foundation is based in a small village called Perle, which is part of the Karad taluka in Satara. We are set up at Vijaysingh Bhosale’s place. It is a quiet area surrounded by fields, which is a nice change from the crowded cities. Being in a rural spot means our work is very connected to the land and the people who live here. We don't have a big staff or a fancy website. It’s just a few of us who grew up in this region and wanted to stay and do something good for our own people. Satara has a lot of history and the people here are very proud of their roots. We try to live up to that by being reliable and honest in everything we handle. Most of our meetings happen over hot cups of chai on the porch. We don’t use a lot of complicated words or business talk. If there is a problem in the village or someone needs help with social issues, they know where to find us. It’s a simple life and the work can be slow sometimes, especially during the monsoon when the roads get muddy. But we don't mind the pace. We aren't in a rush to become a huge organization. We just want to make sure the families in Perle and Karad have someone they can turn to when things get difficult.
