Shree Balaji Borewells

Shree Balaji Borewells is sitting at Plot No. 2 in Krushna Market. We are right on Satara Road in Koregaon, not too far from the Modern School. Being in the market means there is always something going on, people moving around, and plenty of noise from the main road. We focus on borewells, which is mostly about being out in the sun and dealing with the ground. It’s tough work when you hit hard rock and the drill just doesn't want to go down any further. We have our setup here in the district of Satara and we mostly serve the nearby areas. Finding water is always a bit of a gamble, but we take the rigs out and do what we can. The shop in the market is where we handle all the paperwork and where people come to talk about their farms or new houses. It’s usually pretty dusty because of the trucks coming in and out. We aren't big on talking much; we just get the equipment ready and head out. My guys are used to the long hours and the heat. Sometimes we get stuck at a site for a lot longer than we thought because of the soil conditions. We try to keep our gear in good shape, but with drilling, things break all the time. It is just part of the daily routine here in Koregaon. We’ve been at this spot for a bit now and everyone around the market knows us and stops by for a chat.
