Satara Driving School

We run Satara Driving School and are based in Shahunagar, over in the Godoli area of Satara. Our office is just a small room where we keep the schedules and some charts of road signs. Most of our time isn't spent in the office anyway; we're out on the roads in the cars. We use older vehicles because they're easier for beginners to handle without worrying too much about every little scratch. Teaching someone to drive takes a lot of patience, and we’ve seen it all—from people who are terrified of the clutch to those who try to go too fast. The roads around here can be tricky with the traffic and the narrow turns, but that’s where the real practice happens. We usually meet the students near the main landmarks or they come by the office to start their lesson. The cars have the extra pedals on our side, which we have to use more often than we’d like. It’s a simple setup. We write down the appointments in a big diary and try to keep everyone on time, though traffic sometimes ruins the plan. It’s not a fancy academy with simulators; it’s just us, a car, and the open road. We’ve helped a lot of local folks get their licenses over the years. It’s steady work and we enjoy seeing someone finally get the hang of it after a few weeks. We just take it one lesson at a time.
