Sarvesh Stone Udyog

Sarvesh Stone Udyog is out here at Post Bhuinj. It's a quiet area mostly, but the stone work is loud. Being in Taluka Wai, we get a lot of raw material coming in. We spend our days cutting and sorting through different types of stone. It’s heavy work, and our boots are always covered in grey dust. We don't have a big front office. Most people just drive up and talk to us in the yard. We deal with builders and people looking to put in a new floor or a wall. The machines we use are old, but they still get the job done. Sometimes we have to wait on the quarries to send more slabs. It's not a fast process. You have to be patient with stone. You can't rush it or it cracks. We've been here in Bhuinj for several years now. Most of the guys working here are from around the village. We start early before the sun gets too hot over the yard. It's a lot of lifting and measuring. We don't do fancy brochures. If someone wants to see what we have, they just look at the piles in the back. It’s honest work, even if it’s tough on the back. We just keep the saws running and try to finish the orders on time. The stone from Wai is good quality, so we try not to waste any of it. It’s a messy place, but it’s our place.
