Working here at Sahyadri Ayurvedic Life Private Limited in Patkhal is a bit different from being in a city office. Our address is 310 1/C At Po. Patkhal, and it’s right in the heart of the village area. The pace is slow and we like it that way. In the mornings, you can hear the birds and the occasional tractor going by on the road outside. The building itself is sturdy and keeps the heat out pretty well during the summer. We spend a lot of time sorting through materials and making sure the paperwork is in order. There’s always a faint smell of dried herbs in the air, which we’ve all grown accustomed to over the years. We don't have a big sign or a fancy entrance. People usually just know where we are. Our desks are a bit cluttered with notes and samples, but we know where everything is. Lunch is usually a quiet affair where we sit together and talk about our families or the crops. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, and we just sit by the window and wait for it to come back. It gives us a chance to breathe and look at the scenery. It’s a practical environment where everyone knows their job and does it without a lot of fuss. We are just a local team doing our best in this small corner of Patkhal.
