S M S Pharma is over in Sadar Bazar, right in the heart of Satara City. Being in Sadar Bazar means it is always noisy and crowded. There are people selling all sorts of things just outside our door. Our shop is tucked in among many others. We have a lot of wooden cabinets that we’ve had since we started. They are reliable and hold everything we need. Satara City is a place where everyone seems to know everyone else. We see the same faces passing by every single day. Some people stop in just to say hello while they are doing their shopping in the bazar. We don’t mind. It makes the day go by faster. The air in the shop usually smells a bit like paper and old wood. We have a small fan on the ceiling that wobbles a little when it is on high, but it keeps the air moving. Our work is mostly about keeping track of what comes in and what goes out. It is a lot of writing in ledgers and checking labels. We don't use much fancy technology here. A simple calculator and a pen are our main tools. It is a straightforward way to run things. We like being in the middle of the bazar because we feel like we are part of the local life here in Satara. It is busy, it is loud, and it is exactly where we belong.
