Out here in Phaltan, specifically in Wathar, life moves at a different pace than the big cities. We are located at Nanaso Bapurao Sarak’s place, house number 1135A/P. It’s a quiet area in the Satara district where most people know each other. Our day starts before the sun is even up because that’s when the milk work begins. Dealing with dairy and food products means there is no such thing as a day off. The cows don’t stop, so neither do we. We spend most of our time checking the quality of the milk and making sure everything is stored properly. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and cleaning buckets. The smell of fresh milk is something you just get used to after a while. Sometimes the trucks are late or the weather makes things difficult on the roads around here, but we manage. It’s a family-style environment where everyone chips in. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to make sure the work gets done right for the people who rely on us. Most of the folks working here grew up in this district, so we understand how things work in the village. It is a lot of practical, physical labor every single day. We keep the machines running and the floors scrubbed. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy from morning until night. There is always a lot to do, and we just get on with it.
