We set up Rajau Agro Foods in Copdaarwadi, which is a small place near Patan in the Satara district. Our address is house number 430, and it’s basically where everything happens for us. We started this because we wanted to do something with the food grown in this region. Satara has a lot of good farms, so it made sense to be right here where the ingredients are close by. The work involves a lot of cleaning, sorting, and packing different food items. It isn't always pretty work—there’s a lot of heavy lifting and long hours when the harvest comes in. Our building is just a standard local structure, nothing that looks like those big factories you see in the city. We keep our machinery running and try to make sure everything is clean and ready for the next batch. The neighbors know us, and we often have people from the village helping out when things get busy. It’s a practical way to earn a living while staying connected to the land. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. We just focus on the food we are processing and making sure it gets sent out on time. It’s a bit dusty and loud sometimes, but that’s the reality of running an agro-food business in a place like Patan. We just take it one day at a time and do the work.
