Parte Kirana Store

Parte Kirana Store is just a local shop run out of House No 60 in the Konark Society area of Karanje Peth. I’ve lived around here for years, so opening a store seemed like the natural thing to do. We keep all the basic things people need—sugar, tea, dal, and soaps. It’s not like those big supermarkets where you can’t find anyone to talk to. Here, you just walk in and ask for what you need. Often, neighbors stop by just to chat for a bit while they pick up their milk in the morning. The shelves are a bit crowded because I try to fit everything in. Sometimes I forget to restock something and have to tell a customer to come back tomorrow. It’s just me and sometimes my son helping out after his classes. We keep a ledger for the regulars who pay at the end of the month. It’s a quiet life mostly. The shop gets busy around 6 PM when everyone is coming home from work. I spend a lot of time weighing out grains and putting them into bags. The floor is concrete and we have a small bench outside where people sometimes sit. It’s a simple business. We don't do any ads or anything fancy. People just know we are here. It’s part of the daily routine for the folks living in the society nearby.
