Ozil Textiles Private Limited

Our business is based out of Satara, down in the Karanje area. We’re located at the Panchaganga Apartments, which is on Survey Number 287. It’s a pretty quiet part of Maharashtra compared to the big cities, but there is plenty of textile work happening around here. Ozil Textiles Private Limited is a private limited company, but the way we run things feels more like a small family operation. We have our space in the apartment building where we manage the books and talk to the workers. Satara is a good place to be because things are a bit slower, though we still have to stay sharp with the business. The air is better here than in Mumbai, that’s for sure. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the local weavers and the buyers who want our textiles. It involves a lot of back and forth on the dusty roads around the district. Our office at Panchaganga isn’t anything fancy. It has some chairs, a big table for laying out cloth, and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. We don't go in for big marketing or any of that stuff. We just know the people we work with and we try to do a solid job. Every day is different, depending on what the mills are sending over. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back. That’s just how it is in Satara. We stay until the work is done.
