Omshree Hospital

Out here in Vita, things move a bit differently than in the big cities like Pune or Mumbai. We are in the Khanapur taluka of Sangli district. It’s a local place for local people. Most of the folks who come in are farmers or families who have lived in this area for generations. We know many of them by name. The hospital is a simple building, nothing too grand, but it serves the community well. We spend our days dealing with the usual stuff you’d expect in a rural town. Sometimes the power cuts out and we have to switch over to the generator, which is just part of life in Maharashtra. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy words for us. We just work. The doctors are usually busy and the nurses are always moving around the wards. In the evenings, it gets a bit quieter, but there’s always someone on duty. We have a small canteen where the tea is actually quite good. People come here because we are nearby and they know who we are. It’s about being part of the town. We don't make big promises; we just try to help with whatever comes through the door. It’s a honest way to spend the day. The building is tucked away but everyone in Vita knows where it is. We appreciate the trust the families here put in our staff every single day.
